A convicted drug smuggler, Russian billionaire and world famous singer are among the high-profile clients chauffeured by a transport company before it collapsed. 

Brunel Chauffeur Drive and Limousines Pty Ltd went into liquidation on July 13, owing $11.7 million to more than 100 creditors.

The Sydney-based company offered premium passenger transport in every state capital as well as the , the Sunshine Coast and Cairns.

It's understood Brunel was the chauffeur service which transported famous convicted drug smuggler Schapelle Corby home when she returned to Australia from Bali in 2017, sparking a wild media car chase.

Corby left Brisbane Airport in one of 12 black vehicles which left the terminal in separate directions, sending media on a wild goose chase across the city after almost a decade behind bars and three years on parole in Bali.

More than a third of the company's debts are owed to staff with a redundant limo driver breaking his silence to reveal his long list of clients. 

Russian billionaire Vladimir Lisin, singer/songwriter Bryan Adams and US pastor/televangelist Creflo Dollar are among his past passengers.

Brunel reportedly chauffeured the infamous drug trafficker to her mum's home when she returned from Bali in 2017.

Another driver was a long-time friend of Australian Olympic swimming legend Dawn Fraser with a selfie of the pair shared on the company's Facebook page in 2019.

Among Brunel's customers were multi-millionaires and billionaires along with corporate clients such as Emirates, Qantas, Shangri La and Four Seaso when Michael Hogan and Christian Sprowles from insolvency firm HoganSprowles took over as liquidators.

It's understood Brunel Chauffeur Drive had been struggling for some time, with its financial problems dating back to the 2019-20 Black Summer Bushfires

The company made a number of staff redundant several months later as the Covid-19 pandemic hit.

The collapse of the company has left 107 creditors owed a total of $11.7 million, according to liquidation documents.

The ATO seeks $5.1 million in unpaid taxes going as far back as five years.

The company's website and Facebook remains active as of Thursday afternoon.
