Gogglebox Australia star Faye Kontos lost her partner Tony to pancreatic cancer two and a half years ago.

And the 57-year-old revealed this week she is still grief stricken and struggling to cope following her loss.

'It was so hard and it really is a struggle when you lose someone like that, and it still is a struggle to be honest,' she told Woman's Day.

Faye, who is back on the show this season, explained that while she knew Tony's death was 'inevitable', it still shook her.

Faye concluded by saying she was eternally grateful to have had Tony her life. 

She had reportedly been with Tony for six years at the time of his death in December 2018.

Faye's co-star and best friend Anastasia Katselas announced Tony's passing via the pair's joint Instagram account at the time. 




Sad: 'Looking back now, I honestly didn't think him dying would hit me as hard as it did because we always knew he was going to go at some point,' she added 

'My beautiful girlfriend Faye lost her partner yesterday after a long battle with cancer,' Anastasia told fans.

'He was a good man, loyal, honest, hard working. A man anyone would have been proud to call their own. 

'So long, Tony. We will miss you. You will always be in Faye's heart. She will never forget you, nor will anyone else. RIP, situs porno mate. Heaven will be a lot of fun now that you are there.'

In a since-deleted Instagram post, Faye also paid tribute to her late partner, hinting that Anastasia had shared the news of his death without her consent.  

'For those that knew Tony, would also know that he would shy away from a camera,' she said, as reported by Who magazine.

'But then came along my friend Anastasia, who is the complete opposite and had to help in her special way.




Private: Although Faye hadn't publicly spoken about Tony's illness prior to his death, she hinted he was unwell in an Instagram post back in September 2018

'[She] told the world of my beautiful man's passing, but for this time, I am glad that she had.

'I would like to also take the opportunity to thank everyone for their condolences and kind wishes. Tony's family and I are overwhelmed.'
