Installing synthetic grass on concrete surfaces can transform dull, hard areas into lush, low maintenance outdoor spaces. Whether you are covering a patio, balcony, rooftop, or driveway, proper preparation and installation techniques are key to achieving a natural look and long lasting performance. Start by thoroughly cleaning the concrete surface. Remove all dirt, oil stains, debris, and 熊本 人工芝 施工 loose material using a pressure washer or a stiff broom and detergent. Allow the surface to dry completely before proceeding. Even minor imperfections or cracks can affect the final appearance, so fill any large gaps or uneven areas with a concrete patching compound and let it cure as directed.

Next, install a drainage layer—although concrete is impermeable, water can pool on top of the grass if there is no way for it to escape. Lay down a porous geotextile underlayment over the entire surface. This fabric allows water to drain through while preventing the grass backing from sticking to the concrete or becoming damaged. Secure the edges of the fabric with landscape staples or adhesive to keep it flat and in place.

Once the underlayment is installed, unroll the synthetic grass and let it sit in the sun for a few hours to relax and expand. This helps prevent wrinkles and puckering after installation. Use a sharp utility knife to trim the edges to fit your space, leaving a small overhang if needed for final trimming. Do not cut too close to the edges until you are sure of the fit.

The best way to anchor the turf is with a weather-resistant synthetic grass glue—apply it along the perimeter and any seams where pieces meet. Press the grass firmly into place and use a roller to ensure full contact and eliminate air bubbles. Avoid using nails or staples directly into the concrete as they may not hold well and can damage the turf. For larger installations, consider installing edge restraints around the borders to keep the grass from shifting over time.

After the grass is secured, infill is optional but recommended. Lightly brush a layer of silica sand across the surface. This helps the blades stand upright, adds weight to stabilize the grass, and improves drainage and heat resistance. Use a push broom to work the infill into the fibers evenly.

Finally, give the grass a gentle rinse with water to remove any dust or debris. Avoid using high pressure as it can displace the infill. With proper installation, your synthetic grass will look natural and remain durable for many years with minimal upkeep. Regularly sweep or blow off leaves and debris and occasionally rinse the surface to keep it clean and fresh.
