A former WWE and WCF star has been rushed to hospital and fears that he may have to have his 'foot amputated'. 

The star concerned has now set up a GoFundMe page in an appeal to address what he describes as a 'critical medical emergency'. 

The wrestler in question is Brian Knobs, who is most well-known as a member of The Nasty Boys, a duo he formed with professional wrestling partner Jerry Sags. 

On his fundraiser page, Knobs, 60, is said to have 'recently suffered a foot injury that quickly turned into a life-threatening infection due to his diabetes and other health complications'. 

It added: 'His condition has worsened to the point where doctors are now considering amputating his foot.'

He is currently said to be in a medical rehabilitation centre according to the page, which has been set up with the goal of raising £23,200 ($30,000).

Knobs has faced multiple health issues in the past and was previously hospitalised in 2019 with a blood infection while also requiring knee surgery. 

His health struggles come after he lost his home due to Hurricane Milton, which ripped through the Gulf of Mexico in October last year. 

It resulted in the ex-wrestler and his wife losing their home, forcing them to live in a hotel before he was admitted to hospital. 

Including a personal message in his fundraiser, Brian said: 'It's been a really tough time for me lately. 

'I'm back in hospital after losing everything in the last hurricane and now I'm facing the possibility of amputation of my foot.

'I never wanted to ask for help again, but I need it now more than ever. I love you all and appreciate anything you can do'. 

During his wrestling career and partnership with Sags, Knobbs won the WWF Tag Team Championship in 1991 by defeating The Hart Foundation at WrestleMania VII.

The pair were also three-time WCW World Tag Team Champions, defeating teams such as the Harlem Heat and The Steiner Brothers.

After WCW's closure, Knobbs made various wrestling appearances including in TNA and JetBlack independent circuits.
