Crystal Palace young keeper Owen Goodman has joined League One side Huddersfield Town on loan for the 2025–26 season. The 21 year old, having impressed on loan at AFC Wimbledon where he kept 21 clean sheets in League Two underwent a medical this week before the move was officially confirmed.

Goodman's exceptional 2024–25 stint saw him make 53 appearances and feature in the League Two Team of the Season, also winning the division’s Golden Glove. Now he joins Huddersfield hoping to compete for the number one spot under former keeper turned manager Lee Grant, as the Terriers aim for promotion from League One.

The move comes alongside other summer signings like Ryan Ledson and attacker Marcus Harness, emphasising Huddersfield’s intent to climb the table. Goodman is eligible to represent Nigeria, England, and Canada at international level. Although previously invited to the Flying Eagles (Nigeria U20), he declined in January 2023 reportedly over travel-cost issues and has since featured for England and Canada’s youth sides.
